Tabira Insect Park In Tabira Insect Park an environment has been created as Japanese people would imagine a typical mountain countryside setting with rice paddies, a small river, a pond, grass fields and a heterogeneous forest. | Hirado Christian Museum Near beautiful Neshiko beach one can find the Hirado Christian Museum. Suppression of Christianity in Japan began in 1587 and in 1635 seventy Christians were executed on Neshiko beach yet the community continued their faith as `hidden Christians`. Hirado Tourist Museum In this museum one can see artifacts and materials relating to the history of Hirado. Various items are on display such as collections on the hidden Christians in Hirado and collections relating to the Matsura clan and befriended military strategist Sôko Yamaga. |

Oshima Historical Museum Oshima has a rich culture and history, to which this museum is dedicated. In this museum there are special displays on excavated artifacts from the `Takenoshita` burial grounds, on the whaling history, old tools used in the daily life of the inhabitants and many old books. Satotabaru Historical and Folk Museum There are several ruins in the Tabira area but one of the most valuable ones are the Satotabaru ruins from which a large quantity of wooden artifacts has been excavated that show the development of rice-farming culture.
